Solar Stems: Twirling Through Science Fun! (Week 7 recap)

Writer's picture: Annika MountstephensAnnika Mountstephens

This week, we embarked on a solar-powered adventure that left us spinning with excitement! Unleashing the power of the sun, we became mini engineers crafting our very own solar-powered spinning flowers. It was like giving nature a little twirl while uncovering the sun's secrets for plants to thrive – a blooming good time of discovery and creativity under the warm rays of knowledge!

We delved more into photosynthesis and unpacked what a plant needs to make its food (glucose) and what it gives back to us (oxygen)! It was a tricky task but with a keen eye, patience and some tiny hands, constructing and screwing these magical flowers together was fantastic!

Have a look at the blooming results!
