A leafy adventure (Week 5 recap)

Writer's picture: Annika MountstephensAnnika Mountstephens

In a burst of creativity, our classroom became a lively hub of exploration as we immersed ourselves in the enchanting world of leaves. Armed with glue, we meticulously crafted delicate leaf skeletons, unraveling the hidden intricacies of nature's designs. But that was just the beginning – the magic continued with vibrant glowing paint, transforming leaves into incredible stamps that brought their unique patterns to life.

Throughout the week, our young artists unleashed their imagination, resulting in a collection of un-be-LEAF-able art that beautifully blended the realms of art and science. We learnt about perioles, veins and most importantly, stomata. It was incredible seeing these structures translate onto paper in a beautiful and engaging way!

Have a look at some of the beautful creations we made!
